In Bible times, the use of familiar everyday images to assist in describing a subject someone is attempting to convey, was commonplace. Today we do the same and use visual aids, pictures and photographs with modern technology.
The Eagle Stirreth Up Her Nest, fluttereth over her young, spreadeth abroad her wings, taketh them, beareth them on her wings. Deuteronomy 32:11.
As the Israelites would have been familiar with eagles, Moses used them as an aid in telling the people how our Heavenly Father deals with His children.
The mother eagle watches her baby eaglet carefully;
as they grow, she stirs them up a bit first by stopping bringing food, hunger is a great motivator!
Then she removes some of the soft lining of grass and feathers to expose the sticks and thorns; so they will not be as comfortable and contented to lie in the nest.
Hence we get our saying: getting ones’ nest stirred up!
The mother then flutters over them to make them want to copy her and to use their wings as she does; the next step is she pushes them out of the nest and flies down beneath them, carefully watching them so no harm will come to her children.
When her mother eye sees the little wings growing weary, she spreads out her great strong wings; catches them and bears them back to the nest for rest. This process is repeated 7 or 8 times and the baby eagle learns to fly!
The nest is always very high to keep them safe from predators but at the same time, a fall would mean certain death, but the mother eagle knows just when it is time to shake up and nudge out the young from the nest; and precisely when to fly down to bring them back.
That is not just a pretty analogy but is what our Father does for us, He bears us on eagle’s wings. He encourages us to step out in faith and to place our trust in the knowledge that the ever lasting arms are beneath us.
Deuteronomy 33:27. The eternal God is your dwelling place, and underneath are the everlasting arms.
He knows when we are ready and He will stir up our comfort zone too!
He will never leave us nor forsake us Hebrews 13:5; but knows us better than we know ourselves and never requires of us beyond that which we can endure. 1Cor.10:13
We will not however know just how faithful He is, if we are stubborn and refuse to spread our wings and fly with Him!
The song is so true He is indeed by His Spirit/ruach, the wind beneath our wings. Acts 2:1-4
Today if you will hear His voice do not harden your heart..

Make that step of faith ….

Another analogy that we can believe for as we mature is…in
Psalm 103:5. Your Youth Renewed Like the Eagle’s.
We have no doubt read or heard some of this before but for those who have not…
Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed as the eagle’s. Psalm 103:5
This is given as a promise to the righteous and
in the life of the eagle this is actually true.
An eagle lives to a very great age the longest life span of its’ species living up to 70 years. As they grow older at around 40 years of age the talons become weaker and their beaks becomes very long they are unable to catch prey and of course this impairs their ability to eat; Their wings become heavy and stick to its chest making it difficult to fly.
When this happens, the eagle has 2 options; either they will simply die or they can choose to go through a painful transition process which lasts around 150 days.
If they choose the latter, they fly away by themselves finding a secluded place on the top of a cliff and once there they knock and peck continually on a rock until the beak falls off, doing the same with the talons; this initiates a new ones to begin grow in their place.
A little like our milk teeth being replaced as we mature, and new nails growing on fingers and toes..
While the eagle is without the use of the beak and due to the lack of food as this regrowth takes place, the eagle is in fact fasting; so because of this the bird also loses his feathers.
After the new beak grows and the eagle is able to eat again, new feathers start growing, so that it looks and appears like a young eagle.
Once this transformation is completed the eagle goes forth in a new covering with youthful strength and beauty and lives to soar for another 30 years.
Again the picture with the believer is like the eagle, to discard what is worthless and to allow the process of renewal to take place.
To reach that age the eagle has to make one of the hardest decisions in life and like us, many times in order to survive we have to begin a process of change.. We sometimes need to rid ourselves of old memories, old habits and past traditions that are rooted in the old man of flesh, the carnal nature; before we were born agin by the Holy Spirit of the Living God. It is only when we are freed from past burdens that we are still dragging around with us, that we can rise up in newness of life/chaim in Messiah.
Romans 6:4 This is why a change is needed.
Our youthful strength and beauty is renewed by His Spirit, removing all of the old man and his covering, that which we have made for ourselves; and to be clothed spiritually, in His robe of righteousness and garment of salvation.
Our covering is His Blood and as we rise up, having tasted of His Word/Yeshua/Jesus; our hunger is continually satisfied by His promises contained in His Word/Bread of Lifes/Chaim.

2 Samuel 6:14
we read
And David danced before the Lord with all his might:
and David was girded with a linen ephod.
At the head of a great procession there would frequently be seen a half naked buffoon dancing, going through gesticulations usual on such occasions.

&c.: a clown: a fool.— ns.

Note as with other references in the Bible, the word:
naked
is not nude it meant:
with only a loincloth;
it was never understood to be completely without any clothes. The Jewish culture was and still is for the most part, that of modesty.
Another example was when the disciples were fishing/at work, they took off their outer garments.
Just after daybreak, Jesus stood on the beach; but the disciples did not know that it was Jesus. Jesus said to them, ‘Children, you have no fish, have you?’ They answered him, ‘No.’ He said to them, ‘cast the net to the right side of the boat, and you will find some.’ So they cast it, and now they were not able to haul it in because there were so many fish. That disciple whom Jesus loved said to Peter, ‘It is the Lord!’ When Simon Peter heard that it was the Lord, he put on some clothes, for he was naked, and jumped into the lake. But the other disciples came in the boat, dragging the net full of fish, for they were not far from the land, only about a hundred yards off.”John 21:4-8.
It was all done in honor of the person to whom the procession was made, and was the place of a slave only.
This action would never have been considered acceptable behavior by any one other than the individual designated.
King David and all the house of Israel brought up the ark of the Lord with shouting and with trumpets; and David danced before the Lord,
he took the place of a slave at the head of the procession
to do honor to the Lord.
However this was not what Michal, King David’s wife saw, and not understanding her husband’s motive, she thought he had lowered himself before the people, literally behaving as a buffoon and she reproached him bitterly, and the scriptures tell us she despised him in her heart..
It’s a lesson to us not to rush to judge too quickly or too harshly until we know the full facts of a situation.
In fact we are all slaves to the Lord, servants of the most High and Yeshua/Jesus Himself said: But it must not be so among you. No, whoever among you wants to be great must become the servant of you all, and if he wants to be first among you he must be your slave

Isaiah contains so many prophecies about Messiah Yeshua/Jesus that some have called it the Fifth Gospel!
Judgment and restoration is promised for Judah, Jerusalem and the nations in Isaiah 1–33, and chapters 34–66 presume that judgment has been pronounced and restoration follows soon. It can also be read as an extended meditation on the destiny of Jerusalem/Yerushalayim into and after the Exile.
In the 2nd Temple period between 515 BC – 70 AD, Isaiah was one of the most popular works among Jews. Isaiah’s influence extends to English literature and to Western culture in general, far beyond Christianity itself: e.g. in the musical form of Handel’s Messiah and also in everyday phrases such as swords into ploughshares.

Jeremiah said the people, are like an unfaithful wife and rebellious children: their infidelity and rebelliousness made judgment inevitable, although restoration and a new covenant are foreshadowed as a hope for the future.

The Book of Daniel is written in exile in Babylon during the 6th century B.C. Daniel was a nobleman like Ezekiel, he had been taken captive as a young man to Babylon by Nebuchadnezzar. Daniel’s superior way of life earns him great respect in the Babylonian government. In chapters 1-6 He writes about his own life in captivity. He was selected to work for the Babylonian King. It focuses on Faithfulness During Persecution.
It also contains much prophecy and in chapters 7-12 gives the interpretation of dreams that Daniel received from God, dreams and visions which were given to the King Nebuchadnezzar concerning the rise and fall of empires including Visions of Babylon’s Future and of Israel’s Future Destiny; the latter end reaching even to today. Daniel also contains 12 specific prophecies

The Book of Hosea

is set around the fall of the Northern Kingdom of Yisrael /Israel, the Book of Hosea denounces the worship of gods other than Yahweh, comparing Yisrael/Israel’s abandonment of Yahweh to a woman being unfaithful to her husband. According to the written account, the relationship between Hosea and his unfaithful wife Gomer is likened to the relationship between Yahweh and his unfaithful people Yisrael /Israel. The eventual reconciliation of Hosea and Gomer is treated as a hopeful comparison for the eventual reconciliation between Yahweh/Yehoveh and Yisrael /Israel.

The Book of Joel
יוֹאֵל Yoel
contains a grieving over a severe drought and a great locust plague. These events had a severe effect on agriculture and the farmers, which in turn affected the supply of agricultural offerings for the Temple in Yerushalayim/Jerusalem. The narrative is mixed in with a call to national grieving.
In Joel 2:1–11 is a more apocalyptic passage which compares the locusts to an army, and revealing that they are an army sent/allowed by God. Next in Joel 2:12–17 there is a call to national repentance/teshuvah in the face of God’s judgment, and then in Joel 2:18–32 a promise of future blessings. Joel 2:28–32 and 3:1–5 declares that future prophetic gifts are promised to all God’s people, and their safety in the face of cosmic cataclysm which is very clearly in process today. Joel also describes the coming judgment on YHWH/God’s (Israel’s) enemies and the vindication of Yisrael/Israel.

The Book of Jonah

describes how God commands Jonah to go to the city of Nineveh to prophesy against it
“for their great wickedness is come up before me,”
but Jonah instead attempts to flee from “the presence of the Lord” by going to Jaffa (sometimes transliterated as Joppa or Joppe), and sailing to Tarshish. A huge storm arises and the sailors, realizing that it is no ordinary storm, cast lots and find out that Jonah/Yonah is to blame. He admits he is the problem and says that the storm will cease if he is thrown overboard. At first, the sailors refuse to do this and continue rowing, but all their efforts are in vain and eventually they are forced to throw Jonah/Yonah over the side of the ship.
The storm calms as a result and the sailors then offer sacrifices to God. Yonah/Jonah is miraculously saved by being swallowed by a large fish, in whose belly he spends three days and three nights. While in the great fish, Yonah/Jonah prays to Yahoveh/God from Sheol in his affliction and commits to thanksgiving and to paying what he has vowed. Yahoveh/God then commands the fish to spit Yonah/Jonah out on the shore.

The Book of Micah
מיכה
is one of the prophetic books in the Tanakh/Old Testament, being one of the 12 minor prophets. He prophesied over the kingdoms of Israel and Judah during the First Temple era. Micah reproaches unjust leaders, defends the rights of the poor against the rich and powerful; while looking forward to a world at peace centered on Zion under the leadership of a new Davidic monarch. Micah can be roughly divided into three equal parts:
first the Judgment against the nations and their leaders,
secondly the restoration of Zion and
third, Yahoveh/God’s lawsuit against Yisrael/Israel and expression of hope.

The Book Of Haggai

is possibly derived from the Hebrew verb

it was written in 520 BC some 18 years after Cyrus had conquered Babylon and issued a decree in 538 BC allowing the captive Jews to return to Judea. Cyrus saw the restoration of the temple as necessary for the restoration of the religious practices and a sense of freedom after a long exile. In Chaggai /Haggai 1:14–15 it records that the rebuilding of the Temple began on September 7 521 BC. just three weeks after his first prophecy.
They came and began to work on the house of the Lord Almighty, their God, on the twenty‐fourth day of the sixth month in the second year of Darius the King
and the Book of Ezra 6:15 indicates that the construction was finished on February 25 516 BC.
“The Temple was completed on the third day of the month Adar, in the sixth year of the reign of King Darius.”

The Book of Zechariyah / זכריה
From the Hebrew name:
זְכַרְיָה Zekharyah
meaning: Yahweh remembers

Zechariah’s prophecies were contemporary with Haggai in a post‐exilic world after the fall of Jerusalem in 586 BC. And took place during the reign of Darius the Great. Ezekiel and Jeremiah wrote before the fall of Jerusalem, while continuing to prophesy in the early exile period. Scholars believe Ezekiel, with his combination of vision and ceremony, had a strong influence on the prophetic writings of Zechariah in chapters 1–8.
Zechariah dated his writing specifically at 520–518 BC. During the Exile many Judahites and Benjamites were taken to Babylon, where the prophets told them to make their homes, indicating they were about to spend a long period of time there. When Cyrus the Great overtook the Babylonians in 539 BC., freedom did eventually come to many Israelites, In 538 BC, Cyrus’ famous decree was released, and under Sheshbazzar the first return from exile took place.
The Book of Zechariah contains 30 prophecies

Malachi מַלְאָכִי

from the Hebrew name:

meaning: my messenger

my angel
or messenger of God.
Malachi is the last book of the TaNaKH/Old Testament, in many Bibles making Malachi the last book before the Brit Chadashah/New Testament. In the Hebrew Bible, the order of books is slightly different; see charts below, and in this order the last book is
2 Chronicles not Malachi.
The Book of Malachi was written to correct the negligent religious and social behavior of the Israelites in Jerusalem after returning from their exile; and in particular the
כֹּהֲנִ֖ים kohanim priests.
Although the prophets urged the people of Judah and Israel to see their exile as punishment for failing to uphold their covenant with God, it was not long after they had been restored to the land and to Temple worship that the people’s commitment to their God began, once again, to decline. It was in this setting that Malachi delivered the Word of the Lord.

He was not just a prophet…
But the fulfillment of ALL prophecy
The impressive detail and sheer number of these prophecies cause the Bible to stand alone as the truly inspired Word of God. Only He could have the foreknowledge and power to undertake and perfectly complete all that was written and spoken about His coming Messiah. Together with its’ reliable historical accuracy, it sets the Bible/TaNaKH apart from any other book or record.
The Brit Chadashah/ New Testament/Covenant was written after the death and ressurection of Yeshua HaMashiach/Jesus Christ.
Archeologists have found thousands of manuscripts of the Brit Chadashah /New Testament and some of them are dated less than 100 years after the original letters were written. In terms of historical reliability, the Hebrew Bible is superior to any other ancient writings which brings us to the conclusion that only the Bible is the true Word of God.
This surely is the miracle…. Our Heavenly Father gave us these written prophecies and ensured their continued protection through the millennia in order to build our faith and to point the way to His Only Begotten Son, Yeshua/Jesus.
As 1 John 1:1‐3 states:
“The One who existed from the beginning is the One we have heard and seen. We saw Him with our own eyes and touched Him with our own hands. He is Jesus Christ, the Word of Life. This One who is life from God was shown to us, and we have seen Him. And now we testify and announce to you that He is the One who is eternal life. He was with the Father, and then He was shown to us.
We are telling you about what we ourselves have actually seen and heard, so that you may have fellowship with us. And our fellowship is with the Father and with His Son, Jesus Christ”.
We should do well to remember the Scriptures must be spiritually discerned to be understood spiritually..
1 Corinthians 2:14 KJV: But the natural man receiveth not the things of the Spirit of God: for they are foolishness unto him: neither can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.
to “spiritually discern“
is to look beyond the physical (metaphysical)
into the realm of the unseen.
As Yeshua/Jesus was quoted as saying
“the Kingdom comes without observation” …
meaning you can’t see it.
Just as we cannot see air, or breath, or Spirit (pneuma).
The flesh, that is, the carnal mind,
cannot make sense of that which is spiritual in nature.
1Corinthians 2:10-12
But God hath revealed them unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God. 1For what man knoweth the things of a man, save the spirit of man which is in him? even so the things of God knoweth no man, but the Spirit of God. 12Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the spirit which is of God; that we might know the things that are freely given to us of God. 13Which things also we speak, not in the words which man’s wisdom teacheth, but which the Holy Ghost teacheth; comparing spiritual things with spiritual.
Some have questioned why did so many Jewish people living 2000 years ago miss the 1st coming of Messiah? The first believers were all Jewish/Hebrews and Israelites. Yeshua/Jesus said He came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel and then to the gentiles/heathen.
He replied, “I was sent only to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.” Matthew 15:24
The house of Israel is Abraham, Isaac & Jacob and his 12 sons and their descendants; remembering they were scattered abroad in the Diaspora. The leaders, Pharisees, Scribes, Sadducees and Rabbis/Teachers/ of the Torah, were very knowledgeable yet they did not interpret the signs/signals correctly; and feared for their own positions of power and seats of authority over the people which gave them prestige and a wealthy lifestyle.
The Pharisees or Perushim in Hebrew, were an elite, ancient group of religious Jews who were strict adherents to the Law and esteemed themselves more highly than others. These were the most educated of Jews and spent their lives in the study of Torah Law. They not only studied Law, they taught it. They believed the Law was the only way to God.
Their minds, indeed, were closed; and to this very day their minds are covered with the same veils they read the books of the old covenant. 2Cor 3:14
Many Pharisees will form their own version of truth based on what suits them. The rules that apply to others, do not apply to them. They had a picture of who the Messiah would be and Yeshua did not match their image of Messiah.
They looked with natural eyes saying in
John 1:41; Luke 4:22
“oh he is Josephs son”
And with their intellect they said the scriptures declare that we will not know where Messiah comes from and we know where this one is from.
They did not look with spiritual eyes but rather relied on their carnal minds for understanding and interpretation.
Matthew 23:17,19, 24, 26
John 9:39,40 Then Jesus declared, “For judgment I have come into this world, so that the blind may see and those who see may become blind.”
And some of the Pharisees which were with him heard these words, and said unto him, Are we blind also?
John 12:40 He hath blinded their eyes, and he hardened their heart; Lest they should see with their eyes,and perceive with their heart, And should turn, And I should heal them.
Matthew 13:13 Therefore speak I to them in parables: because they seeing see not; and hearing they hear not, neither do they understand.
14 And in them is fulfilled the prophecy of Isaiah/Esaias, which saith, By hearing ye shall hear, and shall not understand; and seeing ye shall see, and shall not perceive:
15 For this people’s heart is waxed gross, and their ears are dull of hearing, and their eyes they have closed; lest at any time they should see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and should understand with their heart, and should be converted, and I should heal them.
We know that this did not apply to all of them, as many came and listened to Messiahs teaching…Nicodemus, Joseph of Arimathea and Saul/Paul all became disciples of Yeshua/Jesus.
They have no knowledge or wisdom; for he has put a veil over their eyes, so that they may not see; and on their hearts, so that they may not give attention. –Is 44:18
They were blinded because it had been prophesied and so had to be fulfilled.
The Word of God always interprets itself however but has to be spiritually discerned. This is the meaning of having eyes to see and ears to hear and an understanding heart.

The Word tells us there is a veil over Gods chosen people on purpose so that the heathen/gentiles can be brought/grafted in when that time is fulfilled the veil will be removed and they will see and all Israel will be saved.
The key passage to the doctrine of Israel’s
blindness or hardening
is found in
Romans 11:25—”For I would not, brethren, that ye should be ignorant of this mystery, lest ye should be wise in your own conceits—, that blindness in part is happened to Israel, until the fulness of the Gentiles be come in. And so all Israel shall be saved: as it is written, There shall come out of Sion the Deliverer, and shall turn ungodliness from Jacob.”
Romans 11:25 indicates a predicted time when Israel’s blindness will be ended.
Heavenly Father/Avinu, give us eyes to see
Let The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of His inheritance in the holy ones, Eph. 1:18
It is with these alone that we discern the things of God. Being first opened, and then enlightened – – By his Spirit.
Lets us not miss the day of our visitation because our eyes failed to see and spiritually discern the times upon us.

Biblical Prophecy can be thought of as His Story, Gods own future unfolding through the ages and generations or as pre‐written history.
The TaNaKH/Old Testament written hundreds of years and some, more than a 1,000 years, before Yeshua/Jesus’ birth contains some
351 prophecies
that refer to the coming of the Mashiach, Yeshua/Messiah, Jesus, the Only Son of the one true living God; who fulfilled them through His life, death and resurrection.
Circumstances such as his birthplace, lineage, and method of execution were beyond Christ’s control and could not have been accidentally or deliberately fulfilled.
So what are the odds?
Mathematically speaking, they are staggering!
The actual odds of anyone fulfilling a small amount of prophecy is impossible!

We should recall that in Matthew 5, Yeshua/Jesus clearly told us:
Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them.
He fulfilled all prophecy concerning His Father’s plan of redemption spoken by the Old Testament prophets/ Nevi’im and in so doing, He fulfilled the requirements of the covenant directions for us. This is something none of us can do for ourselves.
At the time of Yeshua/Jesus there was only the Hebrew scriptures in the form of scrolls which were called collectively the TaNaKH

The three-part division reflected in the acronym Tanakh is well attested in the literature of the Rabbinic period. During that period, however, Tanakh was not used.

Mikra
continues to be used in Hebrew to this day, alongside

The Torah, תּוֹרָה,

The Torah includes:
the five books of Moses /Pentateuch,
following Be•re•sheet /Genesis;
Shemot /Exodus; and Vaikra /Leviticus.
Be•mid•bar / Numbers is its 4th book,
with Deuteronomy/ Devarim the 5th.
Each of the Torah books is named after either the very first word in that book (as in Genesis where the very first word ‘be•re•sheet’ is the name of the book), or the second (as in Exodus where it is the second word in the verse), with one exception occurring in the book Be•mid•bar (Numbers), which gets its name from the fifth word of the fifth verse of the book.
The Book of Numbers, Be•mid•bar, means in the wilderness.
Only the Creator and King of the universe/Melech haOlam could know beforehand and accomplish all that was written about the Messiah/Mashiach, the Redeemer of humanity. This historical accuracy and reliability sets the TaNaKH/ Bible apart from any other book or record by its reliable historical accuracy. The details of these prophecies mark the Word of God as being inspired by His Ruach HaKodesh/Spirit of Holiness.
If we question whether Messiah Yeshua/Jesus can be found in the TaNaKH/Old Testament the Word itself answers that in
Matthew 5:17‐20
“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commandments (10 sayings); will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.”
Again in John 5:39‐40, He says:
You study the Scripturesdiligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures thattestify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
Then Jesus said to them, “You foolish people! You find it so hard to believe all that the prophets wrote in the Scriptures. Wasn’t it clearly predicted that the Messiah would have to suffer all these things before entering his glory?” Then Jesus took them through the writings of Moses and all the prophets, explaining from all the Scriptures the things concerning himself. Luke 24:25–27
“You search the Scriptures because you think they give you eternal life. But the Scriptures point to me!” John 5:39
And He clearly told the 2 on the Emmaus road in Luke 24:25
He said to them, “How foolish you are, and how slow to believe all that the prophets have spoken! 26 Did not the Messiah have to suffer these things and then enter his glory?” 27 And beginning with Moses and all the Prophets, he explained to them what was said in all the Scriptures concerning himself.
30 When he was at the table with them, he took bread, gave thanks, broke it and began to give it to them. 31 Then their eyes were opened and they recognized him, and he disappeared from their sight. 32 They asked each other, “Were not our hearts burning within us while he talked with us on the road and opened the Scriptures to us?”

The Book of Genesis/B’resheet/ בראשית Beginning:
The prophecy of Yeshua/Jesus goes all the way back to the Garden of Eden in Genesis 3:15. God fulfilled his promise from Genesis 3:15 by sending his son into the world as a baby. He was fully God and fully human. The offspring of the woman would eventually crush that old serpent, Satan.
In Genesis 3, God forewarned the Serpent that he would bruise the heel of the woman’s Seed (descendant), but that descendant would bruise the Serpent’s head, implying a death blow. When the Spirit of God conceived the Lord Jesus in Mary’s womb over 4,000 years later, He fulfilled the part of the prophecy that mentioned the Seed of the woman. The serpent bruised the Lord Jesus’ heel when He suffered crucifixion for our sins.
Revelation 20:10 glimpses the future time when the Lord Jesus will bruise the serpent’s head and destroy him.
God embedded a prophecy into His post-Flood promise to Noah, saying, “While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, winter and summer, and day and night shall not cease.” We are reminded of God’s faithfulness and the Bible’s truth when we see the seasons change every year.
The apostle Paul explains how a prophecy God spoke to Abraham continues to be fulfilled, saying, “And the Scripture Genesis 12:3, foreseeing that God would justify the Gentiles by faith, preached the gospel to Abraham beforehand, saying, ‘In you all the nations shall be blessed.’ So then those who are of faith are blessed with believing Abraham.” Other passages reinforce the “all the nations” aspect of this Genesis prophecy, and even now the gospel is going out into all the world, blessing people and changing lives.
Finally, God confirmed the Genesis 3 promised seed for each generation of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Then Jacob/Israel prophesied,
“The scepter shall not depart from Judah…until Shiloh comes; and to Him shall be the obedience of the people,”
indicating that one of Judah’s descendants would become the long-awaited King of all. Christ, the King, was a descendant of Judah, just as Genesis prophesied.
Yeshua/Jesus fulfilled all 20 prophecies inGenesis.

we are told how the Israelites leave slavery in Egypt through the strength of Yehoveh/YaHWeH. The Book of Exodus narrates how Moses led the Israelites in building the Tabernacle Exodus 35–40 based on God’s instructions Exodus 25–31. Even though it was written long before Yeshua/Jesus.
Exodus contains 9 prophecies (21‐29) about Yeshua/Jesus.
He fulfilled all 9 in Exodus.
The Book of Leviticus
is the 3rd book of the Torah and of the
TaNaKH/Old Testament.

Most of its chapters 1–7, 11–27 consist of God’s speeches to Moses, in which he is commanded to repeat to the Israelites. Then in Leviticus, God tells the Israelites and their priests how to make offerings in the Tabernacle and how to conduct themselves while camped around the holy tent sanctuary.
Leviticus contains 7 prophecies (30‐36) about Yeshua/Jesus, He fulfilled all seven.
The Book of Numbers

is the 4th book of the Hebrew Bible,
and the 4th of 5 books of the Jewish Torah.
The name of the book comes from the two censuses taken of the Israelites. Numbers begins at Mount Sinai, where the Israelites have received their laws and covenant from God and God has taken up residence among them in the sanctuary. The task before them is to go in and take possession of the Promised Land. The people are counted and preparations are made for resuming their march. The Israelites begin the journey, but they murmur at the hardships along the way, and about the authority of Moses and Aaron. For these acts, God destroys approximately 15,000 of them through various means. They arrive at the borders of Canaan and send spies into the land. Upon hearing the spies’ fearful report concerning the conditions in Canaan, the Israelites refuse to take possession of it. God condemns them to death in the wilderness until a new generation can grow up and carry out the task. The book ends with the new generation of Israelites in the Plain of Moab ready for the crossing of the Jordan River.
Numbers also contains 3 prophecies(37‐39) about Yeshua/Jesus, all three prophecies in Numbers were fulfilled by Him.

The Book of Deuteronomy is the 5th book of the TaNaKH/Old Testament and of the Jewish Torah. Chapters 1–30 of the book consist of three sermons or speeches delivered to the Israelites by Moses on the plains of Moab, shortly before they enter the Promised Land.
The 1st sermon recounts the forty years of wilderness wanderings which had led to that moment, and ends with an exhortation to observe the law, later referred to as the Law of Moses;
the 2nd reminds the Israelites of the need to follow Yahweh/Yahoveh/YHWH, and the laws He has given them, on which their possession of the land depends;
and the 3rd offers the comfort that even should Israel prove unfaithful and so lose the land, with repentance all can be restored. The final 4 chapters (31–34) contain the Song of Moses, the Blessing of Moses, and narratives recounting the passing of the mantle of leadership from Moses to Joshua and, finally, Moses death on Mount Nebo.
One of its most significant verses is
Deuteronomy 6:4, the Shema Yisrael,
which has become the definitive statement of Israelite/Jewish/Hebrew identity:
Hear, O Israel: the LORD our God, the LORD is one.
Verses 6:4–5 were also quoted by Yeshua/Jesus in

The Book of
Joshua Yehoshua יהושע
gives the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile. It tells of the campaigns of the Israelites in central, southern and northern Canaan, the destruction of their enemies, and the division of the land among the Twelve Tribes, framed by two set‐piece speeches, the first by God commanding the conquest of the land, and, at the end, the last by Joshua warning of the need for faithful observance of the Law (torah) revealed to Moses.

“Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the Lord deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.”

Samuel begins with the prophet Samuel’s birth and God’s call to him as a boy. The story of the Ark of the Covenant tells of Israel the Philistine oppression, which brought about Israels first king, Saul, being anointed by him. However, Saul proved unworthy and God turned to and chose David, who defeated Israel’s enemies and brought the Ark of His Covenant to Jerusalem/Yerushalayim. God then promised David and his successors an everlasting house/dynasty.
1&2 Samuel contain 6 prophecies

He fulfilled all 6 prophecies in Samuel 1 and 2.
Some biblical commentators believe the books of Joshua and Judges and 1&2 Samuel, were written to provide an explanation for the destruction of the Kingdom of Judah by Babylon in 586 BC and lay a foundation for a return from exile.
The Book of Kings:

The Books of 1&2 Kings, are the 11th and 12th books and were originally a single book. They complete the early history of Israel presenting its’ history from the death of King David to the release of Jehoiachin from imprisonment in Babylon, which was a period of approx. 400 years between 960 and 560 BC.

The Books of Chronicles:

The Chronicles narrative begins with Adam and the story is then carried forward, almost entirely by genealogical lists, down to the founding of the first Kingdom of Israel 1 Chronicles 1–9. after a brief account of Saul the remainder of 1 Chronicles, is concentrated on the reign of David 1 Chronicles 11–29. The next section records the life of Solomon, David’s son. 2 Chronicles 1–9, and the final part is about the Kingdom of Judah with somel references to the 2nd kingdom of Israel 2 Chronicles 10–36. Judah is destroyed in the last chapter and the people taken into exile in Babylon, and in the final verses the Persian king Cyrus the Great conquers the Neo‐Babylonian Empire, and he authorizes the restoration of the Temple in Jerusalem, and the return of the exiles.
Chronicles contain 3 prophecies (54‐56) about Jesus/Yeshua. He fulfilled all 3 prophecies in Chronicles.
The Book of Job

is recorded as being in an obscure land called Uz, far from Israel, during an unknown time period, this book focuses on questions about God’s justice and asks why good people suffer attacks from the adversary/ hasatan /Satan.

Throughout the book, Job, his wife, and his friends speculate on and discuss why he, an upright man, suffers. Job accuses God of being unjust and not operating the world according to principles of justice, and his friends believe that Job’s sin caused his suffering. Job decides to talk directly to God. And when he does his eyes are opened and he understands.

Wisdom is praised for her role in creation; acquiring her before anything else, and through her He brought chaos into order. Because humanity has life and prosperity by conforming to Gods’ order of creation, therefore, seeking wisdom is both the goal and essence of the godly lifestyle.
Proverbs contains 2 prophecies

Song of Songs,

Song of Solomon,
separates itself from the other books in the Bible. There is no reference to covenant or laws wisdom or the God of Israel. The opening words introduce a poetic work whose subject is romantic love; the plot is about the courtship and marriage of a maiden referred to as the Shulammite and takes place in ancient Israel, in the woman’s garden and the king’s palace.
In modern Judaism the Song is read on the Sabbath during the Passover/Pesach, which marks the beginning of the grain harvest as well as remembering the Exodus from Egypt. Jewish tradition reads it as an allegory of the relationship between God and Israel, Christianity regards it as an allegory of Messiah and His bride/challach the Ecclesia/called apart ones.
