the word shema describes hearing and also its effects – taking heed, being obedient, doing what is asked.
These are all action words.
The same word for Go is the same word used as for
walk as in:
the walk, the journey through life of faith and obedience as a follower/disciple of our Heavenly Father and His Messiah; walking through life with a divinely inspired purpose.
Close in meaning to the word halakah, also spelled halakhah.
Isaiah 30:21: “And thine ears shall hear a word behind thee, saying, This is the way, walk ye in it, when you turn to the right hand, and when you turn to the left.”
It comes from the root word halak and has a feminine ending, with the idea of nurturing, loving and caring.
It literally means:
the way to walk or the way to behave.
Many rabbis often referred to it as the law/instruction. This is because it is believed to be derived from an old Akkadian word
iku, which means; a property tax
and the Aramaic halak, where it means: an obligation.
We are to understand that this is more than taking a casual stroll, it’s speaking of the way in which we are obligated to live our lives. This is a reason the Jews have adopted this word halak and now associate it with the Torah and the 613 commandments; because it’s in the Torah/instruction, that we are taught the godly way to live.
One example is in Matthew 5:41

But possibly the one we are most familiar with is the
GO and make disciples of all nations…
Matthew 28:19
however there are other times Messiah said GO.
These were all spoken to His disciples and if we are also His disciples/talmidim then these GO’s are also for us.
There is the GO of Reconciliation. If you bring your gift to the altar and there remember that your brother has something against you…It’s not saying if we are to search and find something because of our unbalanced sensitivity, but rather if you remember …in other words if something is brought to our conscious mind by the Spirit of our Heavenly Father in us. First GO, be reconciled to your brother and then come and offer your gift.
Matthew 5:23,24
We are not ever to raise an objection to the sensitivity of the Holy Spirit of our Heavenly Father in us when He is instructing us concerning a situation because He will point out that which needs our attention, right down to the smallest detail.
First be reconciled to your brother/sister. Our Lords directive is simple First be reconciled… He says in effect GO back the way you came- the way indicated to us by the conviction given to us at the altar. We are to have an attitude in our mind and soul toward the person who has something against us, that makes reconciliation as natural as breathing. Jesus/Yeshua does not mention the other person. He says for us to GO. It’s not a matter of our rights. The true mark of His children is that they can waive their own rights and obey the Lord.
And then come and offer your gift.The process of reconciliation is clearly marked. First we have the reaction of self sacrifice followed by a sudden restraint as we are stopped at the point of our conviction by the sensitivity of the Holy Spirit.
Then this is followed by obedience to the Word of God which builds an attitude, or state of mind, that places no blame on the one with whom we have been in the wrong; and finally there is the simple unhindered offering of our gift to the Father. We are to be reconciled to our brothers and sister in Messiah as well as to our Heavenly Father which is an essential part of the Gospel we are to share with the world.
Even though we once regarded Christ according to the flesh, we regard him thus no longer. 17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation.[ a]The old has passed away; behold, the new has come. 18 All this is from God, who through Christ reconciled us to himself and gave us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 that is, in Christ God was reconciling[ b] the world to himself, not counting their trespasses against them, and entrusting to us the message of reconciliation. 2 Cor. 5:11-20
The GO of Renunciation:
Someone said to him lord I will follow you wherever you go.
Our Lords’ attitude toward this man was one of severe discouragement, for He knew what was in man. John 2:25
We would have possibly thought or even said, I can’t understand why you missed the opportunity of winning that man by being so cold to him and turning him away so discouraged.
We must never apologize for the Lord, or question why He deals with individuals the way He does. The words of our Lord sometimes hurt and offend, until there is nothing left to be hurt or offended. Doesn’t this fly in the face of popular images of ‘gentle Jesus meek and mlld’, Who is all loving and forgiving?
We need to understand this ‘God kind of love’; Messiah had no tenderness whatsoever toward anything that was ultimately going to ruin a person in his service to God, or cause them to ultimately lose their souls. Messiah’s answers were not based on some whim or impulsive thought, but on the knowledge of what was in man. Words are cheap, people can say all manner of offers, promises and even quote copious amounts of scripture, sounding very spiritual, however the Lord looks at the heart, the inward person. He knows each one of us, intimately. No one fools Him.
If the Holy Spirit of our Heavenly Father brings to our minds a word of the Lord that hurts us, we can be sure that there is something in us that He wants to hurt to the point of its’ death! It’s part of the process of crucifying that ugly flesh, our carnal old man.
Luke 9:57,58These words destroy the argument of serving Messiah Jesus Christ/Yeshua HaMashiach because it is a pleasant, lovely and easy thing to do! It is not and we need to stop telling new converts that all their problems will now vanish because it is not the truth. The strictness of the rejection that He demands of us, allows for nothing to remain in our lives but Him, our Savior and Lord, ourselves, and a sense of the desperate need for forgiveness, reconciliation and eternal unity with Him.
He says that we must let everyone else come and go, and that we must be guided solely by our relationship to Him and He says the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His head. He wanted and needed nothing that this world offers, He was not putting down roots or building a life here but simply passing through; and it would help us greatly to remember, that the same is true for us.
Luke 9:59.This man did not want to disappoint Jesus/Yeshua, nor did he want to show a lack of respect for his natural earthly father. Many times we put our sense of loyalty to our relatives ahead of our loyalty to Messiah Jesus Christ/Yeshua Ha Mashiach, forcing Him to take last place. When our loyalties conflict, we should always obey Jesus/Yeshua whatever the cost. This is not what people want to hear but anything else is self-centered and rooted in what we want and prefer for our lives. We compromise and choose which parts of His Gospel we like and leave what is not convenient. He sees and knows….
Luke 9:61. the person who says
Lord I will follow you but….
This individual Is the one who is intensely ready to GO, but never goes and this man in the story had reservations about going. The exacting call of Messiah has no room for goodbyes; goodbyes as we often use them are ‘pagan’ not ‘Christian,’ because they divert us from the call. Once the call of God to GO for Him comes to us, start GO-ing and never stop.
The GO of Unconditional Identification.
Mark 10:21 Jesus said to him one thing you lack go your way sell whatever you have and give to the poor and come, take up the cross and follow me.
The rich young ruler had the controlling passion to be perfect. When he saw Messiah he wanted to be like him. Messiah never places anyone’s personal holiness above everything else when He calls a disciple. Jesus/Yeshua’s primary consideration is our absolute annihilation of our right to ourselves; and our identification with Him. Which means having a relationship separate with Him in which there are no other relationships.
Luke 14:26 has little if anything to do with salvation or sanctification. But rather deals solely with unconditional identification with Messiah Yeshua HaMashiach/Jesus Christ. Very few of us truly know what is meant by the absolute GO of unconditional identification with, complete abandonment and total surrender to Jesus/Yeshua.
Then Jesus looking at him loved him. Mark 10:21.
This look of Jesus/Yeshua will require breaking our hearts away forever from allegiance to any other person or thing.
Has Yeshua/Jesus ever looked this way at you?
This look of Messiah’s transforms, penetrates, and captivates. Where we are soft and pliable with Him is where He has looked at us. If we are hard and vindictive, insisting on having our own way always certain that the other person is more likely to be in the wrong than we are, then there are whole areas of our nature that have never been transformed by His gaze.
One thing you lack, from Messiah’s perspective oneness with Him with nothing in between is the only good thing.
Sell what ever you have..We must humble ourselves until we are merely a living person. He is not saying we can’t have things, just that the things/possessions don’t have us! We must essentially renounce possessions of all kinds, that is, that our trust is not in them. This renunciation is not required for salvation, but it is to follow Jesus/Yeshua, because only one thing saves a person and that is absolute reliance in faith upon Messiah Jesus Christ/Yeshua HaMashiach and His shed blood.
Come and follow me…
and the narrow way is the way He went.
GO into all the world and preach the gospel. The gospel of His Kingdom, the Kingdom of the Heavens, not an earthly kingdom. It’s the gospel of Shalom/Peace, of reconciliation. It is good news to all who hear it because following repentance of our sins, it offers forgiveness of those sins and restoration into relationship with our Heavenly Father. It’s the offer of eternal life, of being born again from above by the Holy Spirit of the living Creator God of the universe. It is the fulfillment of prophecy that Messiah has come to be the perfect sacrifice. He is the propitiation for our sin. The One Who came to take our place and that His blood covered our sins once for all time. He has paid the price for our salvation, deliverance and new life in Him. The life we now live by faith in the Son of God.
Obedience is the twin of GO, it’s the spiritual rule to follow if we truly want to acquire spiritual understanding, and if we desire knowledge and insight into Messiahs teachings we can only obtain it through obedience. Intellectual curiosity is the guide for those who want scientific knowledge.
If spiritual things seem dark and hidden to us, then we can consider ourselves advised that there is a point of disobedience somewhere in our lives. Intellectual darkness is the result of ignorance, however spiritual darkness is the result of something that we don’t intend to obey; thinking in our hearts that He will understand, like we somehow get a special pass in that area.
No one ever receives a word from our Heavenly Father without immediately being put to the test concerning it. We disobey and then wonder why we’re not growing spiritually. As Yeshua/Jesus said and already noted previously in Matt. 5:23-24 if you bring your gift……First GO…
Isn’t He really telling us to not say another word to Him until we are first being obedient by making things right? Messiah’s teachings always hit us right where we are, straight to the point. We cannot stand in front of Him for even a second if we are in any way false. He always gives us instructions down to the very last detail. The Spirit of our Heavenly Father reveals our spirit of self-vindication, together with our defensive excuses and makes us sensitively aware of things that we have never even thought of previously.
When Messiah makes a very serious indication to us through His Word of something we need to address, we must not try to avoid it because if we do, we’ll become a religious phony.
We will know why we are not growing spiritually when we examine the things we tend to simply shrug our shoulders about, because it is usually where we have refused to be obedient; and obedience is the golden key to spiritual maturity.
Just as Messiah said, first Go, for each of us, even at the risk of being thought of as fanatical, we must obey what He tells us.
If we have ever heard Him say to us
GO
Why are we hesitating?
Why are we ignoring His command?
Why are we making. excuses?
Let’s GO and DO
whatever it is that He is asking of us.
All He is looking for are those with
willing, obedient, servant hearts.
He is the power in us to fulfill what we need to
GO!

Messiah said: the truth will make you free, many translate it as: set you free. The word make, is constructive in making a change; whereas set free, describes more of a release from bondage. When we ‘make’ something, there is construction and the result is change.
In Hebrew, the word for truth, emet (אֱמֶת), contains the first, middle, and the last letter of the Hebrew alphabet,
Alef Mem Tav,
indicating that truth encompasses all things and endures from the beginning to the end and everything in-between.
Messiah not only effects freedom from the bondage of sin and death but also causes a change in us making us a new creation in Him.
Truth is not based upon or proved on facts.
Facts are not always Truth – emet – אֱמֶת .
Messiah said: I AM the way the truth and the life. (Derek Emet Chaim.) The words of the Father, Messiah and Their Spirit of Holiness are Truth. Ruach haKodesh is the spirit of truth. The Father is truth, Yeshua His only begotten son is the truth; He is also the Derek-Way and the Chaim – lifes.
What is really behind the changes in our weather patterns and the extreme swings we are seeing world-wide? It is by our Heavenly Father’s decrees, He is in control of everything because this is His creation. Science gives answers which are not our Fathers TRUTHS.
The only motive of this post is to give readers an opportunity to think, to encourage readers to look at some recorded historical information; and to confirm by their own personal research and/ or inner conviction by His Holy Spirit, that much of what we have been told for centuries and in some cases thousands of years is not the ‘whole truth and nothing but the truth’.
The signs of the end times are found in scripture particularly Matthew 24 and also in Mark 13:1–8; Luke 21:5–9, and from physical evidence all around us it is a 99.9% certainty that we are in the closing moments of the age of grace/ age of the church, the ecclesia.
The time of the end, the latter days.
The Greek phrase “in the last days” (ἐν ἐσχάταις ἡμέραις) refers to the prophesied “End of Days,” sometimes called acharit ha-yamim (אַחֲרִית הַיָּמִים) in Hebrew.
Also called Jacobs trouble and tribulation, and other terms that apply to the timeline. Whether months, weeks, days and seasons that unfold just prior to Messiah being told by His Father to bring a final conclusion to this age. And only the Father knows, and we must not be deceived by those who are giving dates or speak of being raptured and taken out of it all. We are to endure to the end, Matt. 24:13-15
36No one knows about that day or hour, not even the angels in heaven, nor the Son,g but only the Father. 37As it was in the days of Noah, so will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. 38For in the days before the flood, people were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, up to the day Noah entered the ark.39And they were oblivious, until the flood came and swept them all away. So will it be at the coming of the Son of Man. 40Two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. 41Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left.
42Therefore keep watch, because you do not know the day on which your Lord will come. 43But understand this: If the homeowner had known in which watch of the night the thief was coming, he would have kept watch and would not have let his house be broken into. 44For this reason, you also must be ready, because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect.
45Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom the master has put in charge of his household, to give the others their food at the proper time? 46Blessed is that servant whose master finds him doing so when he returns. 47Truly I tell you, he will put him in charge of all his possessions.
48But suppose that servant is wicked and says in his heart, ‘My master will be away a long time.’ 49And he begins to beat his fellow servants and to eat and drink with drunkards. 50The master of that servant will come on a day he does not expect and at an hour he does not anticipate. 51Then he will cut him to pieces and assign him a place with the hypocrites, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.
The scriptures only speak of Messiah coming back one time. The verses in 1 Thess. 16-17 says that the dead in Christ are raised first and those who are alive when that happens are changed in the twinkling of an eye are caught up to meet Him in the air.
But I would not have you to be ignorant, brethren, concerning them which are asleep, that ye sorrow not, even as others which have no hope. 14For if we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so them also which sleep in Jesus will God bring with him. 15For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep. 16For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: 17Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord. 18Wherefore comfort one another with these words.
Then judgment falls on those not changed.
We are not to be looking for an easy exit we are to
endure to the end, having done all to stand firm in the faith.
And only our Heavenly Father knows when that is.
The signs symbols and seasons are also clear, there will be a great falling away and the wicked one will be revealed first.
Then the lawless one will be revealed and the Lord Jesus will slay him with the breath of His mouth and bring him to an end by the appearance of His coming. 2Thess. 2:8
So we will know who he is and we don’t have to waste time looking for him or guessing who it may be. Clearly we will know without a doubt. Secondly we will still be here on earth when he is revealed that is how we will know who it is. The whole pre, mid, or post tribulation is a divisive diversion from scriptural events and if we are focusing on them and which one it is, we are focusing on the wrong things.
We are to be about our Fathers business and to occupy til He comes. Sharing His good news making disciples, who will in turn share the good news and make more disciples. Feed the hungry etc., do what Messiah Yeshua/Jesus taught us to do. The days prior to His return, (not plural, returns,) are clearly detailed as to what the world will be like, what people will be like, and what physical events in the earth will be like.
2Tim.3:1-5 This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come.
2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy,
3 Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good,
4 Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God;
5 Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.
The earth is groaning and we see it in the increase in earthquakes, volcanic eruptions and weather extremes. The earth is responding to the weight of sin and is filled with violence which occupies humanities days. Messiah’s own words told us clearly what it will be like and so did Isaiah in chapter 24:20 KJV: The earth shall reel to and fro like a drunkard, and shall be removed like a cottage; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it; and it shall fall, and not rise again.
The earth shall stagger like a drunken man, and shall sway to and fro like a hammock; and the transgression thereof shall be heavy upon it, and it shall fall, and not rise again. – ASV
There are other references as well as those in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and Revelation, they are also in Joel Zechariah Daniel and Ezekiel….
It’s not a secret, it is not hidden, it’s plain and clear and detailed and it is going to be worse than anything that has happened before this time or ever will be again…In Messiahs words:
Matthew 24:21 For at that time there will be great tribulation, unmatched from the beginning of the world until now, and never to be seen again. 22 If those days had not been cut short, nobody would be saved.
In John 16:33 Jesus said in this world you will have tribulation it started 2000 years ago, we were all born into tribulation.
In the world you have tribulation and distress and suffering, but be courageous [be confident, be undaunted, be filled with joy]; I have overcome the world.” [My conquest is accomplished,
When John wrote in Revelation 6 of Messiah opening the first 4 seals, revealing the 4 horsemen of conqueror, war, famine, death and hell, today it would seem that they are already riding. There is no doubt there has been no peace in the world, with war after war; then famine and poverty has followed with death and hell right on their heels. These have all increased in intensity and as Messiah said in Luke 21:28 when you see all these things begin to come to pass (all at the same time), look up for your redemption draws near. He also said the generation that sees this happening will not pass until all has been fulfilled.
Matt 24:34 and Luke21:32 and Mark 13:30 The generation of people who see the signs – the trials: and final, hard labor pains – described in the previous verses that we know as the Tribulation. That “generation will by no means pass away till all [the things Jesus just discussed] take place.” Everything Jesus prophesied of in the chapter will occur within one generation.
Just as in the days of Noah and Lot, God intervened. He is the same yesterday today and forever and the day of reckoning is upon us; He is near even at the door.
The generation that saw the budding of the fig tree, Israel become a nation in a day 1948 will not pass. Those who remember the rebirth of Israel as a nation are in their mid 80’s and would have had to be old enough to understand what was happening.The age of the days of Grace are coming to an end and as the number of the gentiles to come into the kingdom of God is quickly being fulfilled,
For salvation (final deliverance) is nearer to us now thanwhen wefirstbelieved (adhered to, trusted in, and relied on Christ, the Messiah). Romans 13:11
“The times of the Gentiles” is the biblical designation for a period of time beginning with the Babylonian Captivity (606 BC in which non-Jews have dominion over the world. This extends from the Babylonian conquest of Jerusalem and will end with the physical return of Messiah.
Our focus should be on reaching those who are lost and most importantly making certain our life is right before our Heavenly Father. Not putting off until tomorrow what we can do today . Forgiving everyone of wrongs done to us and seeking forgiveness ourselves. Walking in faith covered by the precious blood of our Lord and Savior Yeshua haMashiach, Jesus Christ. Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith.
Our Father must have overcomers for these closing moments, we are here and we are to endure to the end. It doesn’t sound too happy a time. It is easy for us to imagine that we will suddenly come to a point in our lives where we are fully prepared, but preparation is not suddenly accomplished. In fact it is a process that must be steadily maintained. It is dangerous to become settled and complacent in our present level of experience. The walk along the narrow way requires preparation and more preparation.
Messiah’s teaching can be summarized like this: the relationship He demands of us is an impossible one unless He has done a supernatural work in us. He demands that His disciples do not allow even the slightest trace of resentment in their hearts when faced with abuse, control and injustice. No amount of enthusiasm will ever stand up to the strain that Messiah will allow upon His servants. The only thing that will be able to bear the strain is a personal relationship with Him. One that has been examined, purified, tested and tried; until only one purpose remains and we can truly say, I am here for God to send me where He chooses.
The sermon on the mount is not unattainable because it’s a statement of what will happen in us when Messiah has changed our nature. He is the only one who can fulfill the sermon on the mount. It is a supernatural work and we cannot do it, we simply yield to Him to work in us according to His good pleasure. It is completed inGalatians 5:20 If we have been crucified with Christ then our selfish desires are also dead, and we must read this carefully ….the life that I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me. His new life will become ours in direct proportion to our success in emptying our hearts of self-will, and we have to do that, we have to will it, He will not force us to be an overcomer, it’s our choice.
The time to get ready is NOW, today, before we face hard situations, not when those situations take us by surprise. We are not to be off guard but ready spiritually. We are to show forth the fruit of His spirit which cannot be produced by the carnal nature of man, only by the spirit of the living God within. We can’t suppress evil by ourselves we need His help to be delivered and to kill the old nature, to crucify it daily.
When His divine life is operating in our human heart it creates the fruit of the spirit. His spirit within us is manifest as we get out of the way. Love, joy and peace were natural to Messiah but are foreign to mans’ fallen nature. We will never produce them by speaking to suppress evil emotion. He brings them forth as we allow Him to live in us from our innermost being. His truth will make us free and will support and increase the measure of faith imparted to us.
We must not deny the truth of the word by preferring our own interpretation because there is no natural or political solution to a problem with a spiritual root. The situation will not change until our Father decrees it is time for Him to step onto the scene. We need to stop looking for an easy life of compromise, an easy and painless exit with our ticket to heaven and no effort on our part; and with no real understanding of the cost of our salvation and the price that was paid in Messiahs blood. It’s time to count the cost for those who are called by His name. John said in 1John 2:18-23
18 Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the last hour. That was over 2000 years ago, now we are in the last seconds, be ready spiritually, be prepared mentally for the days that are ahead. Read Matthew 24, Luke21:32 and Mark 13:30 for the details of the things which are already happening to the earth. Read the verses and then watch the news reports, we are right there.
Romans 8:22 says that the whole creation has been groaning as in the pains of childbirth since the fall of mankind.
Time will prove all things. And His emet/truth alone will remain. Always remember His promises because we have a glorious future.
There will be a new heaven, a new earth. There will be no more pain, no more tears for those who accept Jesus as Lord. The earth will be new and sin will no longer have its dominion over us.
Only one life soon is past, only what’s done for Christ will last.
Whatever we choose to believe we need to be ready at any moment. He told us to stay alert, to watch and pray,
Take ye heed, watch and pray: for ye know not when the time is. Mark 11:33.
because the Son of Man will come at an hour you do not expect
and the moment of your personal
‘catching away’ may be today.

We sometimes forget that language is very important. The English language has been the one that many other nations have been required to learn in order to communicate with English speaking countries.
There are so many other languages that are very old in origin whereas English is only a few hundred years in its development.
For example the number of unique Chinese characters used through the ages, though the exact figure is unknown, is safely in excess of 100,000.
Only a subset of these characters are still in regular use today.
In 2013, the Chinese government published a list of the 3,500 most essential characters used in modern Chinese. Chinese schoolchildren are expected to learn all 3,500 at a minimum, though many graduate knowing 5,000, 6,000 or more.
In order to pass the highest level on China’s official Chinese proficiency exam for non-native speakers, the HSK (汉语水平考试 hànyǔ shuǐpíng kǎoshì), you will need to know 2,663 individual Chinese characters.
This is a huge number compared to the Hebrew alefbet of 22 letters and English alphabet of 26 letters!
The ancient languages of thousands of years ago are more common than we realize and we can gain much from studying those used in the biblical texts. They give us insight to cultural backgrounds that have been lost in translation. Many in the west are rather lazy and expect other nations to speak English rather than take the time to learn the languages of other countries.
The Scriptures were written in Hebrew and Aramaic.
Later they were translated into Greek, Latin/Italian and old English. Its’ not that long ago that entrance to universities required the student to be well versed in Hebrew, Latin and Greek. This was because most of the reference books in libraries were still in those languages, not having been translated into English.
We lose so much of the beauty of a language when it is translated, and learning some of the original words enhances our understanding. It also reveals the inner meanings of concepts that are rooted in the times they were written; referring to the culture and the idioms used.
Early writings like those of cuneiform,
Chinese, Japanese,
Egyptian and Hebrew,
used pictures and images
like the Egyptian hieroglyphs.
Many of the characters are not just an individual letter but depict a complete thought.
Ancient civilizations recorded important events by inscribing marks in clay tablets or cylinders; later the use of scrolls made from animal skins and papyrus were used to record their history.
Many writings that have survived thousands of years
are in stone, which is the most durable substance.
We know that the dead sea scrolls contained
confirming information of biblical stories,
although many are incomplete due to deterioration.
The pictographs, which are the paleo Hebrew characters,
are very descriptive and each letter in itself tells a story.
Rabbis in the time of Messiah would often illustrate spiritual truths using Hebrew letters.
In modern speech we use the expression
‘Hey’!
to get someone’s immediate attention.
In Hebrew the letter H is pronounced the same way
and makes the same sound: ה Hei/ hey.
The Hebrew commentaries teach that Moses could not speak properly because he was thick of tongue and this would have made it very difficult for him to pronounce any name of God that required using his tongue.
To articulate the sound of a word correctly,
pronunciation needs the use of the tongue.
The same Jewish commentary offers the explanation that our Heavenly Father gave Moses a name for Himself which had letters that didn’t need the use of his tongue.
This name was made up of 4 letters.
First the letter Yod which made a Y sound,
next the letter H making the H or Hei sound.
Thirdly, the letter Vav making a V sound; and lastly,
the letter H again making the H or Hei sound.
Moses was given a name that he could speak with his breath that did not require him to use his tongue.
YHVH sometimes written as YHWH.
(there is no letter W in Hebrew.)
It is pronounced sometimes as:
Yod Hey Vav Hey
or Yahweh.
The V and W are interchangeable.
The Hei traditionally represents
the breath and presence of God.
The sages teach that God created the world with the letter
Hei;
that is He created the world with His breath and presence.
“By the word of the Lord were the heavens made; and all the host of them by the breath of his mouth.” Psalm 33:6-9 (KJV)
The hei represents divine revelation, the breath of God. It is the symbol of the repentant man, who beholds the revelation of God. Hei is spiritual life, the breath of GOD, that is the essence of all creation. Hei, is also connected to the “light” spoken of 5 times in the book of Genesis, on the 1st day of creation. The numerical value of hei is five which is the number of grace and also signifies the 5 dimensions and 5 senses.
The letter Hei was known as the broken letter.
It is identical to the Cheth, except that there is a narrow space, a brake in the upper left hand corner of the letter.
This little space was known as
the narrow or strait gate that leads to the presence of God.
Matthew 7:13: “Enter ye at the strait gate for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leadeth to destruction and many there be which go in thereat.”
The bottom of the letter is open.
This is known as the wide or broad gate.
As already noted the Hei represents the breath of God. Through repentance we will find the breath of God that will blow us through the narrow gate. Without repentance you cannot find the breath of God to sustain us, causing us to fall through the wide gate at the bottom of the letter to destruction.
Look again at the broken letter Hei ה, and the opening in the top left hand corner of the letter. Jewish literature written about the time of Messiah explains that in this letter, as noted previously represents the presence and breath of God, further add this observation. That it is very difficult to climb to the narrow gate and few there are who can rise to that narrow gate and achieve such a state of righteousness, that they are able to pass through that narrow gate to the Shekinah, or the presence of God.
Through repentance we will find the breath of God that will blow us through the narrow gate into His presence.
Without repentance we cannot find the breath of God to sustain us, this will cause us to fall through the wide gate at the bottom of the letter to destruction; and many are those who pass through the broad gate that leads to destruction. The picture is not simply that of salvation here; but rather of entering into such an intimate relationship with God, that we will experience His loving presence or His Shekinah Glory.
Is this what Yeshua/Jesus was referring to this when He said in Matthew 7:13?. “Enter the narrow gate, for the gate is wide and the road is spacious which leads to destruction, and many are those who are going in it.”
Everything has meaning in Scripture and Our Heavenly Father uses everything in His creation to speak with us. The letters themselves, the words they form, olive trees, birds, animals, bread, grapes/wine, farming, wheat, corn and oil, to name a few; with this understanding, we will find that every word, every jot and title, is written with purpose. There is so much more beneath the surface. Recall the meaning of PaRDeS.

There are certain events on the Gregorian calendar that have become traditional annual days of celebration. The most popular is New Years Eve, almost worldwide. In England it’s November 5th for guy Fawkes night; and in America 4th July for Independence Day. At all these gatherings people set off fireworks and sparklers.
There is a scripture in Isaiah which speaks of fire and sparks.
Isaiah 50:11: “Behold, as all of you who kindle fire, who are surrounded in sparks, walk (a righteous walk) in the light (of) your fire in your burning. From My hand this shall be for you in pain (so) you will lie down.”
The study of the Hebrew scriptures is ongoing and Jewish rabbis speak of the 70 faces of Torah. Jewish sages taught that every passage of Scripture has at least 70 different ways of looking it and understanding it.
We should always bear in mind that our Fathers Holy Spirit lives in our hearts and all interpretation of Scripture must come from that same Spirit.
Apart from the first reading, there is also another layer of understanding to be revealed in this verse.
The first word in Isaiah 50:11
is Behold,
The word behold in Hebrew is the word hen
which has a meaning of:

In the course of researching some of the Paleo Hebrew pictographs for the letters and words of the Hebrew alefbet it revealed something interesting
The first letter of hen is the letter H. Written in modern Hebrew script is
and the pictograph for this letter is this image of a man with his arms raised and pronounced hey, the image meaning: look, behold, pay attention.
The 70 faces of Torah is the teaching that there are multilayers of understanding of each Scripture verse. One face of Torah, or layer of understanding, may be referring to those who kindle fires.
Another face or layer, is a reference to those who express passion. We all have some passion that we like to express, something or someone that holds a special place in our hearts and lives.
Isaiah 50:11: “Behold, as all of you who kindle fire, who are surrounded in sparks, walk (a righteous walk) in the light (of) your fire in your burning. From My hand this shall be for you in pain (so) you will lie down.”
(Behold often translated in other Bibles as Look).
What are we bing told to pay close attention to?
It’s to
“As all of you who kindle fire…”
The word in Hebrew for kindle is kadech (qodehe).
Following a little research on this word, it is revealed that In its Semitic origins this kadech, kindle,
comes from
the polishing of a red gem or precious stone also called a carbuncle;
and it also refers to
a piece of coal that begins to glow red.
Many of us have no doubt watched a piece of wood or coal in a fire and if it is blown upon it will start to glow red. That is the idea of kadech. In the Hebrew language the word fire: is ‘esh and it not only carries the idea of fire but also of passion. Here is a picture of one aspect of our relationship wit our Heavenly Father that when He breathes on our kadech carbuncle, just like that hot ember, we begin to glow with ‘esh, passion.
Is our Heavenly Father giving the reader a revelation that we could read it this way:
as all of you are having your passions polished, or blown upon /His breath on us to glow bright red; (from the red symbolizing passion)
The verse continues by saying that we
are then surrounded.
This word surround is me’az’ri (meazere)
which is like a girdle or belt tightening around a body.
So we are surrounded by sparks / ziqoth/ziqah/ (ziqowt).
In Hebrew the word
Sparks is Zichoth זקת
Ziqoth is a bright, sharp shinning,
like sparklers or fireworks.
As we allow our Heavenly Father to mature or intensify our passions for Him by the power of His Spirit of Holiness, we’ll begin to be surrounded by sharp brilliant shinning sparklers that will increase.
There have been instances where believers have spiritually discerned this zikoth in people, and can actually see it in the natural realm. However, It is probably true to say that all of us can see it in the Spirit. Many of us have met other believers in Messiah in whom we could sense a glowing, a deep passion for their Savior. These are the ones who allow their Heavenly Father to kindle or polish by maturing their passion for Him.
The firework displays that many attend are a great picture of bright shinning points of light. As we continue to submit to the Fathers creative work in us, He will increase or intensify our passions and we will begin to be surrounded, me’az’ri, by sharp brilliant sparklers, ziqoth, which can only seen in the spiritual realm.
We must remember that as bearers of this sparkling light, we get that light from the indwelling of Messiahs Holy Spirit; it is not anything that we can make happen by ourselves.
When we bear the zikoth, even if you can only see it in the Spirit, there are many natural signs of it and people will notice.
Acts 4:13 Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John,… they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus.
There is a caveat with the increase in ziqoth. When people see or sense that ziqoth, there is a tendency to look to the person rather than to the Lord. We are cautioned not to receive praise or allow worship toward ourselves, some tend to assume some of that worship. People begin to praise and honor individuals, lifting them up because of the ziqoth.
Satan whose name was Lucifer, which means the Light Bringer or Bearer, began to be lifted up in pride Isaiah 14:12-15 and a third of the angels started to look at him. He began to accept their worship that belonged to the Lord God and he fell into the sin of pride. Now we are the light bringers, only because of Messiahs spirit within; and when people see or discern ziqoth, we must not let any praise be directed our way, we must always point tour Heavenly Father.
Some may think they can imitate the same passion to try to draw attention to themselves, however our Heavenly Father is not fooled, nor are most people. Isaiah states clearly that the individual who is genuine, who kindles a fire, express a passion for God and wears His ziqoth, is also walking the narrow way of truth and living a righteous life.Isaiah 50:11.
Many pastors and leaders have carried the ziqoth, and allowed their members to put them in a place of honor. The congregations lift up the person because of the ziqoth, seen or unseen; and if the person does not reject the attention they will fall just as Lucifer did. Then they too will lose those sparks; and if they don’t defer to the Lord their sparks will fade. Like the account of Moses, when he came down from the mountain his face was filled with such intense sparkle /ziqoth, that he had to wear a veil. As described in Exodus 34:29-35, Moses’ face shone because of the fact that he had been in God’s direct presence when receiving the ten commandments on Mount Sinai, and God’s glory had transmitted itself to his physical appearance.
Here is revealed the little play on words from the post title, where fireworks are referring to the sparks (zichoth) of light that are created from them. The name of a female chicken being hen to behold and pay attention; and the fact that Moses’ face glowed after being in the presence of the Lord God.
In 2 Corinthians 3:13: Paul reveals a reason: He (Moses) kept covering his face with a veil, he did not want the people of Israel to see the glory fading away.”
Some men and women with that ziqoth, allow others to bless them and then they watch as the ziquoth fades away.
How many of these people that we have seen or sensed, have this ziqoth only to lose it; but they keep going, trying to make everyone think it has not faded away. No one can produce a passion that is not honestly there.. It’s impossible to fake a ziqoth, and people get tired of those trying to fake it. They are not fooling anyone, only themselves and like Moses they keep that veil over their faces so others will not lose confidence in them.
Those who have this authentic ziqoth must walk continually in the light.
1 John 1:5 Walking in the Light. 5 This is the message we have heard from him and proclaim to you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all.
1 John 1:7 he says, “If we walk in the light as He [God] is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus Christ His Son cleanses us from all sin.”
Messiah declared that He is light and we must walk according to His commandments if we love Him; bringing all praise and honor to Him. He is the genesis, the author of the passion that He is breathing into us.
Messiah in us – the divine spark, the hope of glory.
According to Matthew 5:14
We are the light, the ziqoth of this world,
it’s time to shine.
